Seniors and Parents~
The BCM (Baptist Campus Ministry) of the UGA is hosting a weekend just for your (students). Last year in the spring semester Brian Fillingim and Lisa Costley took a group of Seniors to Georgia Southern. This year I'd like to do a Fall and Spring preview trip. The reason I am so attracted to this weekend is that the information the students will receive will be helpful on ANY college campus they choose, not just UGA. Read the information below and let me know if you are interested and want to sign up. We will need a check from you by or before Wednesday Night September 30 for $30 ($25 for registration and $5 for transportation). Space is limited. Let me know as soon a possible if you want to sign up and we'll put you on the list. Our group will leave the RSBC Anderson Parking lot at 10:30 AM on October 16th.
You can see in the info below that parents are welcome. However, you will be responsible for your own expenses.

HERE'S THE INFO:
Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) at the University of Georgia invites prospective students (and their parents) into the lives of our students for a weekend... see the campus, meet other Bulldog hopefuls, hear how God is working in Athens and learn how you can be a part of it! ConnectUGA is open to high school juniors and seniors seeking to see how God can both grow and use them through their college experience.
This is an opportunity for high school students, in the process of considering college options, to see Christian students on their campus growing in their walk with Christ and making a difference with their lives. During the weekend, prospective students will hear the stories of current UGA students who are living for Christ here in Athens, serving Christ around the globe through missions opportunities and around Georgia as they invest their live in others. Students will be placed in small groups led by BCM students and will have opportunities to see Athens and UGA from a different perspective. They will be involved in worship and discussion times with opportunities to ask questions and explore what being a Christian here at UGA can look like. It’s also a great time to connect with Christian students who can answer questions along the journey towards choosing a college.
ConnectUGA begins at 6 pm Friday night, October 16 and concludes at 1 pm Saturday, October 17. Cost for the weekend is $25 which covers: meals, lodging with UGA BCM students, worship and small group experiences, fun, games, and a t-shirt!
There will be a first come, first-served earlybird option Friday, October 16 from 1-5 pm offering a UGA campus tour and question/answer time.
Parents and youth workers are invited to come with their students. A parent/youth worker dinner and discussion will be provided Friday evening, hosted by parents of current students and local ministers, exploring ways to help students make the most of college experience. Lodging is NOT provided for parents/youthworkers. Many hotels are located close to campus. There is no cost for parents/youthworkers, but registration is requested.
